The Challenge
As a new business, Lounge Underwear had ambitious targets to grow and maximise revenue from their online store and recognised that paid search would be an integral part of their strategy. Lounge Underwear required a PPC account that would increase the volume of relevant traffic to the website and increase sales whilst maintaining a strong ROI that would fuel expansion.
The Solution/Our Strategy
Utilising both Google and Microsoft Ads, Glowworm created a granular PPC account structure focused primarily on search, dynamic search and shopping campaigns. We tested a large volume of relevant keywords to attract new audiences to the website. Using careful search query analysis from Shopping and DSA campaigns enabled us to continually build out the search campaigns which helped us to increase revenue whilst assisting sales via other online sources.
Utilising device specific bidding, location bidding, time scheduling, audience bidding and increasingly automated methods enabled us to attract the most relevant audiences just at the right point in time. Our granular structure helped us to focus on each product or product groups individually, which in turn helped us to attract a high volume of relevant clicks to the website while also maintaining a relatively low investment in AdSpend. After developing a strong strategy revenue and ROI grew significantly in the UK and as sales grew stronger we were able to expand paid search campaigns internationally to the USA, Australia and Europe.
Results
We started working with Lounge Underwear 3 years ago as a start up company with minimal spend and as brand new eCommerce business fresh to PPC, fast forward a few years and things have changed dramatically. Budgets, product scope and revenue has grown at unprecedented levels. We helped the business achieve astronomical growth through highly profitable paid search campaigns.
In 2019/2020 Lounge Underwear posted overall sales of £13 million with 30% of this attributed to PPC, looking forward to 2020/2021 with ambitious predictions of 28 million+ .
